I had to use the Safari develop / user agent option to pretend it was 4.0.5 (not 4.1 or 5.0) before I could login. Then it worked perfectly of course. The new Safari does feel fast, I've some JavaScript based astronomy pages, the original Safari was slow but now the page just appears faster than I can manage to time it. Pete H
