Any other event log errors? An ipconfig /all from the client & the server might help. Also - When you reply, please don't snip out all the quoted text, or nobody can follow the thread. I see that you're using Google Groups to access this newsgroup. Google Groups is great for searching historical posts, but is not the best way to use usenet. I suggest you try using a news client, such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express, instead. It's a lot easier to do nearly everything that way. You can mark messages to be watched, filter the views so you can see replies to your posts easily, etc. The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required. From: Chad Kramer on 17 Dec 2007 13:54 gpupdate/ force on the client I'm working from now asks to log off - choosing Yes and logging back in, then running rsop.msc shows the same errors. The other error in relation to the GP app 1054/Userenv is 5719/NETLOGON in the system log. Odd thing is once I log in the network is available, but the GPO's never get applied. For one thing, make sure you've got "always wait for network on startup & login" applied to all your workstations (not servers) via GPO. I think it's critical & have no idea why it's not in there by default. http://www.boyce.us/gp/gpcontent.asp?ID=39 > > Server ipconfig: > Windows IP Configuration > > Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : server1 > Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Lako.local > Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid > IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No > WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No > DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : Lako.local > > Ethernet adapter Server Local Area Connection: > > Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : > Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network > Connection > Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Well, thank goodness you masked the MAC addresses. I was planning on breaking into your network & planting a lot of illicit photos of underaged gerbils in your boss' user folder. ;-) Seriously, there's no need to hide this info.
