I've got a 4gig card in my s2 (shows as 3774.1 MB). It was a generic one
that I purchased on ebay.

To the best of my understanding (which, on this topic, comes mainly
from Wikipedia), SD is only capable of addressing 2 GB. Anything
bigger than 2 GB cannot be SD; it must be SDHC (unless there's
anything new to replace even that).
