I am downloading it now. I haven't discovered a US source yet. The estimate varies between 6 and 8hours from heanet.ie. At the moment I have 3% downloaded and a 6 hour estimate. The bittorrent package available with slack, ktorrent, has lots of bells and whistles but no user manual. I don't know how much faster it is. And I can't figure out how to use it. There is another bittorrrent package in the extras folder. Haven't tried that one yet. If bittorrent is now the standard way to get Slack it might help to put that package in with the main distro. I've not had much joy but I have just discovered the merits of sbopkg - which makes using slackbuilds really simple. Pete -- http://www.petezilla.co.uk

I use rsync to get the source file tree -- only way to track -current, also good for getting the updates, and write own DVDs if required. Grant. -- http://bugsplatter.id.au

BTW the current estimate on my download. is one hour and seven minutes. So I may yet have results before bedtime (EDT). What site has an rsync feed for the Slack isos? John C.
