FYI: Kernel 2.6.33.3 is released (at kernel.org) This kernel reportedly fixes some XFS filesystem deadlock bugs. I personally ran into deadlocks on 2.6.33.2, which made that version unreliable for me. BTW, I was testing with XFS on a loopback file when I ran into this bug. How to update boot USB disk. Hi, installing Slackware 13.0, I make the USB boot disk as proposed by the stantard setup program. Then, I upgraded the kernel and I would update the recovery USB boot disk, but makebootdisk ask me for the floppy not for the USB flash disk. Installing without the Slackware setup script I installed Slackware 13, actually Slackware-current without using the setup script and I think it may have resulted in a broken install. iptables --state INVALID and HTTP Seems like most firewalling documentation suggests DROP'ing all --state INVALID packets. eg., iptables -A INPUT -m state --state INVALID -j DROP so I hook that up with a -j LOG to see what it catches.
