I think BB should probably try the portable Ubuntu first as it is run as a Windows app. From there BB will have access to whatever network interface on his notebook, and then he can start learning Linux.Make no mistake, it'll take a bit of time for BB to get used to Linux; just like Unix users will take some time to get used to Windows.
