You mean Wubi? I really hate that. It just reinforces the whole
Windows-think that Linux is another *program* that you run on your
computer, since the Windows mindset is "Computer=Windows". Not to
mention the fact that it doesn't allow for one to use separate
partitions for "seemlessly" segregating /home and the like -- one of
desktop Linux's strongest attributes.

Mark, I'm not familiar with Wubi. But a search with Google tells
me they are different and apparently Portable Ubuntu is even
simpler than Wubi. That makes me believe even BB can now
run it and experience Ubuntu with leaving his comfort zone of
Windows.

I understood the PC=Windows mentality. They think there
must be a C: drive in an OS and Ctr-C/V/X must be copy/
paste/cut, etc. They have no ideas about the Unix file system
and why there is no C: drive there, leave alone the concept
of mount-ing, super/root user, etc. But Linux has come a long
way, once set up even someone like BB can drive it without
any problems.
