So it looks like I'll be using Firefox for a time. And further, I also now seem to have a wake-from-sleep issue whereby my screen is quite dark and the resolution changed significantly after awakening. I have to reboot to resolve that problem. Hopefully, there's a fix in the works coming soon. Despite those irritations, the major speed improvement for Snow Leopard is really awesome.
