The Snow Leopard security update issued yesterday afternoon (14Apr10)
did not, alas, resolve the Safari problem. I had hoped they might sneak
that in. So it looks like I'll be using Firefox for a time. And
further, I also now seem to have a wake-from-sleep issue whereby my
screen is quite dark and the resolution changed significantly after
awakening. I have to reboot to resolve that problem. Hopefully,
there's a fix in the works coming soon.

Despite those irritations, the major speed improvement for Snow Leopard
is really awesome.

According to what I've read, all that was fixed in that update was Apple
Type Services:
