From: SteveH on 24 Jul 2010 13:00 Just put together a presentation in Keynote - much easier than it is to do the same in Powerpoint. Sent it over to the iPad. Hooked it up to a big display via the VGA adaptor. All seems to work very well. The big test is Monday, when I'm presenting to around 25 people - including playing a couple of video clips which stutter and freeze on my company laptop. The only downside so far is that I can't control the slides remotely via my iPhone. If anyone knows how to do this, it would be really useful. I've also installed 'displayout', which mirrors the iPad onto a big screen - which means I can share the previous week sales update when it's emailed over during the morning. -- SteveH

No, doesn't work - that's for Keynote on the Mac, not the iPad. -- SteveH

It's not the sort of software I use thankfully! -- Woody Alienrat Design Ltd

Bit of a thread Hijack, but Im getting two iPads next week for a couple of clients. All they need to be able to do is get the Internet (Safari), Email from Exchange servers (mail.app), read PDF documents (GoodReader), and open and edit Word Documents (Pages). Im quiet looking forward to it to be honest, although I still cant see myself buying one anytime soon. -- Gavin. ACSP 10.5 http://www.stoof.co.uk http://www.twitter.com/gavin_wilby |
