im trying to do a solaris 10 x86 network install, i've followed through
all the documentation step by step on docs.sun.com and when I boot off
of my network card it goes for a minute then errors "PXE E53: No boot
filename received" all the dhcp options and macros are set. BootFile
is set to "nbp.SUNW.i86pc" and tftp is setup. Please help, Thanks.

That's precious little info to go on, but is the BootFile option part of
the PXEClient:Arch:00000:UNDI:002001 macro, or any other macro that
would be referenced by the server in answering this client?

You might try running snoop on the server to see what's actually being
sent; something like "snoop -v dhcp" should help you see what's missing.

hey, thanks.

i found i didn't have BootFile under the
PXEClient:Arch:00000:UNDI:002001 macro i had it in the SUNW.i86pc macro
which now it starts to boot from network that i fixed it. then it goes
to the next screen and says "prom panic: Could not mount filesystem."
any other ideas?

Just as an aside, I've found this guide worked well for me in setting
this up in the past.
