From: Terry on 25 Nov 2009 00:29 Time and again, I've lost work because I've been pulled away from my computer and windows update decided it was more important to reboot my computer right then than it was to let me save me work. Is there anyway of preventing the auto reboot short of turning off windows update?

Change it so that *you* control when it installs updates. Doesn't change it automatically finding or possibly even downloading them - just that you then control when they install and thus - when the reboots happen. Also - if you walk away from your computer - you should save your work.
