From: Skookum on 2 Feb 2010 17:26 I have two Macbook Pros in the house, one (my wife's) of which is nearly 4 years old, has OS 10.5.8 and is nicely and normally loading web pages from my wireless router. It sits about 25 feet through a wall or two from the router. My fairly new MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.1) is about 18 inches from the router and has, for reasons I'd like to know, slowed down to a crawl when it comes to loading pages from the Internet. It also will get disconnecetd from the Internet a few times a week and i have to patiently wait for the connection to miraculously re-appear. While that is happening, I can amble over to my wife's old machine and, as stated, it's working away fine. Does anyone have an informed hunch as to what's going on and what to do about it?
