Yes, they can be deleted. I would leave any that are dated within your
current session, in case they are being used by any currently running
programs.

Yes
Some will be in use and will stop the Delete process.
Arrange by date. Delete the oldest chunks first
Then you will need to nibble away around the locked ones. :)

Google for "CCLEANER", it cleans all tremp/cache/log etc.
from your system and lets you edit its search list..
It also has a working registry cleaner.
Its free, and I use it often, especially just before doing a
virus/malware scan, to speed up things, and stop false virus
alerts(often found in cache diretories).
