From: cheveron@gmail.com on 3 Dec 2006 19:28 Hot girls, the kind C64 users could never get a date with... but I digress ;) Adam wrote: > What about those of us with the Spectrum (+3), C64 (well, C128D) and > BBC computers in frequent use? Utterly hatstand. I do plan on doing some C128 hacking one of these days though (because it's the only way I can write for the Commodore without having to learn too much 6502). > (given that the BBC was clearly > technically better than both the Speccy and C64 (at least for the > hackability factor)) Nothing is quite as hackable as the Speccy. I mean you can build one on bread-board with off the shelf compononents! > Speaking of which, does anyone know how to get the Sinclair BBC Basic > working on the +3? In theory you should be able to run BBC Basic in RAM, but that's not supported at the moment, so in practice you'll need to burn an EPROM with BBC Basic in ROM 0 and the original ROM from the 48K machine in ROM 1. Of course that kills disk drive support. If you do any 128 Basic programming the +2 ROM is worth using as it's less buggy than the one in the UK 128. Or you could use the original Spanish ROM with its built in text editor.
