From: Levi on 22 Apr 2010 13:35 Server: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 Standard Edition 2x Intel Xeon 5120 Processors 4gb RAM with Clients us a custom built OS from thinstation.org. Up until the last few months I have had no issues with the terminal server or the applications. However over the last 1 to 1.5 months I have began having problems. All of the thin clients will "freeze" for roughly 15-100 seconds. They freeze completely it appears specifically while in one application. This happens at random times throughout the day and appears to have no real ties to local network bandwidth or WAN bandwidth as we have been monitoring our network closely as we initially thought this was the issue. I cannot seem to reproduce this problem which is making it very frustrating and hard to troubleshoot. I ran perfmon on the server for 7 straight days in an attempt to capture when this was happening and was unable to see anything out of the ordinary. I have also reviewed event viewer for any tell tale signs to no avail. 1.) Has anyone ever seen an issue like this? 2.) Does anyone have anymore troubleshooting steps I can take? 3.) Any fixes? Any help would be greatly appreciated. LR

From: Bob Campbell on 24 Apr 2010 22:53 It sounds like an oplock problem. Just a wild guess.
