From: Gary J. Dikkema on 27 Feb 2007 14:16 My prod SBS2003 R2 box time is AHEAD by 3 - 4 minutes. It it synching to a variety of time servers including pool.nt.org, time.nist.gov.... etc. Forcing the time gets it set correctly for about 3 seconds and then it reverts to the incorrect time. Anyone? Thanks! From: Gary J. Dikkema on 27 Feb 2007 15:45 Good one Les! <VBG> To be honest it originally was syncheed to time.nist.gov like my test R2 box connected thru a different ISP (which doesn't have this challenge BTW). Have gone thru the w32time and the w32tm commands and the registry and yet no joy. I seem to recall this from a year or more back but researching my archives yields only cobwebs... <VBG> Hopefully someone has a solution for me... BTW, this just recently started... perhaps even after the DST patches... perhaps although I could be wrong. This is a SBS2003 R2 Premium Edition ISA2004 SP2 box. TIA. Reagrds! Whenever I have trouble with time sync, I run this batch file on the SBS. You can substitute your preferred time server with the default, but IME it works just fine. w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:time.windows.com, 0x8 /syncfromflags:MANUAL w32tm /config /update net stop w32time net start w32time w32tm /resync /nowait That generally whips it into shape, and you should see some success logged in the system event log. -- Les Connor [SBS MVP] "Gary J.
