Hi,

I am facing some problem with the "Toggle screen" option in the
windows media player of windows mobile.
I am unable to toggle the screen (mainly screen OFF to ON) with the
assigned key in the WMPlayer settings.

Is there anybody facing the similar problem?? If so, what can be done
to solve this type of issue.
(OR)
Is there is anyway to remove this "Toggle screen" option from the
WMplayer settings???

WMPlayer--> Menu--> Options-->Buttons-->Toggle screen

Please let me know the soultion to rectify this type of issue.

which device make/model, what version of wmp and what winmobile os
version would help in deducing possible options

Have you tried unassigning the button from the default functionality under
Settings / Buttons? It might help on some devices, particularly on ones
with multiple functionalities assigned to a single button, depending on the
short press / long hold capabilities.

If you can't get rid of the problem, you may want to take a look at
external screen, free (!) shutoff utilities - e.g., ScreenOff (
http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=733 ).

Alternatively, you may want to take a look at alternative media players,
particularly if you're playing back non-WMA media. E.g., the free (!) TCPMP
also supports screen off and uses considerably less CPU to decode MP3.
