Thanks Jamie and Peter There should be no need to delete older versions of FF just to update them. The typical way to update FF is via it's own updater. See under Help->Check for Updates... (sometimes if there's an update already waiting it'll be called 'Apply new Update...', or similar).

IIRC Thunderbird's version of the updater wouldn't update between major versions. -- Chris

I did notice that 3.6 wasn't applied to 3.5 automatically (to begin with at least), you needed to check for the update manually. |
