Just logged on to the missus's G4 iBook (10.5.8) and I am trying to
update Firefox 3.5 to 3.6. When I try and drag Firefox to the Apps
folder it wont let me do it, giving the error message "The operation
cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for
some of the items"

I am logged in as the administrator (in fact that's the only login
account that is active).

Anyone got any ideas what is going on ?

Thanks

Have you tried restarting the Mac?

Have you tried deleting FF first, then moving the new version?

This is generally down to user permissions on the files inside the
..app bundle, and is more trouble to fix than it is to work around.

Actually, the Singularity seems rather useful in the entire work avoidance
field. "I _could_ write up that report now but if I put it off, I may well
become a weakly godlike entity, at which point not only will I be able to
type faster but my comments will be more on-target." - James Nicoll
