From: Frank L. on 28 Aug 2005 16:44 A Z40 USB device ( 4.0 G ) got unaccessible after the W2K came up with the error message "Write delay failed". This was because I tried to copy a file that is 136 M in size. May be the real issue arose when I unplugged the USB device instead of correctly notifying W2K of my intention to unplug it. Has any one an idea why the driver USBSTOR.SYS does not access the device in RAW mode ? Is there a way to access the device at all from now on ? Does any have a driver that would allow me to access the device ? USBSTOR.SYS returns RC=10 ( device does not start ). No tool I have can access the device. Anyone any idea ?? Thanks, Frank PS: I run W2K US version, SP 4

From: "Frank L." <Frank on 29 Aug 2005 10:29 Z40 is from a company called BTC ( Taiwan ). They have a US web site: www.btc.com In Germany this device is under the label of CnMemory. It is a "memory stick", internally it seems to be a 1" HDD. Interface is USB 2.0. From: Pavel A. on 29 Aug 2005 20:34 Aha. so it is a microdrive with usb interface. Does it work in other computer (especially with WinXP)? If not... probably it died :( --PA "Frank L." <Frank L.(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8E7136ED-C6EC-4F15-B55E-91117EE5785C(a)microsoft.com... > > Z40 is from a company called BTC ( Taiwan ). > They have a US web site: www.btc.com > > In Germany this device is under the label of CnMemory. > > It is a "memory stick", internally it seems to be a > 1" HDD. The device does not work on any PC anymore. No matter which operating system. Well, it kind of died. There must still be the raw mode to access the device. This is why I need to have a driver that accesses this device in RAW mode. Is there somebody who knows a driver that does so ?
