From: Bruce Hagen on 1 Jun 2010 12:05 Outlook Express 6 is part of IE6 and your operating system. How did it get involved with Windows Server 2000 SP4? -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "Gerry" <Gerry(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D6EB1203-7D17-4523-A254-E562FF17ACF4(a)microsoft.com... > Has anyone UnInstalled Outlook Express 6.0 From Windows Server 2000 SP4?

From: Peter Foldes on 1 Jun 2010 19:49 Gerry Windows Server 2000 came with IE5 and OE5. When you installed SP2 or SP3 (do not remember exactly) it Upgraded IE to version 6 which in turn changed OE5 to OE6 at that time. You are not able to uninstall OE since it is an integral part of your W2K and IE and therefore you can only remove access to it by removing the Desktop icon for OE -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. http://www.microsoft.com/protect "Gerry" <Gerry(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D6EB1203-7D17-4523-A254-E562FF17ACF4(a)microsoft.com... > Has anyone UnInstalled Outlook Express 6.0 From Windows Server 2000 SP4?
From: Steve Cochran on 2 Jun 2010 07:34 If you don't want users to use OE, then you can make the inbox readonly and OE then won't start. steve "Gerry" <Gerry(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D6EB1203-7D17-4523-A254-E562FF17ACF4(a)microsoft.com... > Has anyone UnInstalled Outlook Express 6.0 From Windows Server 2000 SP4?
