Corporates always want more control, and Usenet is a seriously uncontrollable part of Internet. For lesser users (those who cannot take Usenet raw) using web based forums is more natural. As far as i am concerned they are welcome to them and good riddance. But for those who "grew up" with Usenet, it is the real thing, and web forums are cheap knock-offs. Just one request, allow public unfettered read and search; only require registration to post. |
