From: Harriette on 12 Mar 2010 11:21 I've tried downloading and installing from the icon as well as from the website. I've turned my computer on and off a few times. Bottom line I now have several copikes of each of the updates but none will install. How do I fix this and also delete the extra copies of the updates? Thanks for any suggestions

From: txnick on 18 Mar 2010 01:51 I am having same problem - but just with KB978474 . Have Windows 7 Home premium. Has been going on since the security update was released. Each time I turn off my computer it tries to install - but it fails. When I try to manually install is gives me code 80070652 and windowsupdate_dt000. I have manually downloaded the update and tried to install and it says"The update cannot be applied". I think now this is causing excel attachments not to be able to be opened from my Outlook 2003 - and precluding me from installing other new software (I get an error message to wait for the other installation to finish). I successfully installed a hot fix KB947821 that was to fix this issue - but to no avail. "Harriette" wrote: > I've tried downloading and installing from the icon as well as from the > website. Is there by any kind a "sprtcmd.exe" process listed in Task Manager ("View all Processes for all users" or similar)? Bye, Freudi |
