Sure enough, there is a version for WinXP: http://www.evanolds.com/movtogifsimple.html but another problem. It requires .NET Framework. I'll be moving over to Linux when I have enough extra cash to replace my system (the new one I'll put Linux on). So even less do I want to go into .NET. Is there anything out there. I've been looking and looking in the little spare time I've had lately but nothing has come up that does a decent job so far. thx.

I couldn't figure out how to export to aniGIF. Do you know how? I have different versions of VD so I would assume it should have been easy. But no joy. Ulead is terrible. Crashes all the time with AVI files although I use pretty standard AVI codecs. All DVD players and my computer plays them just fine. But no matter what AVI Ulead chokes and/or crashes. No good. Thanks, though.

Would have saved time if you'd have revealed your anti .NET requirement in the first place. |
