Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a clear-out and unearthed a full set of
MacPublishing. This was just about my bible in my DTP/design days in
the early 90s. I've always been a sucker for magazines, but these were
exceptional - they weren't sold in newsagents, only by subscription
(and cost an eye-watering 10 per issue - in 1989!). The cost was
somewhat mitigated by the inclusion on the cover of a floppy disk with
a bundled typeface and other stuff. Aimed at the Mac designer, they had
really useful articles and high quality standards for layout and
design. Totally out of date of course (the last issue announces Apple's
forthcoming System 7!) but still an interesting wander down memory
lane. And of course the rules of good design haven't changed in 20
years.

Anyway, I have what I think is the full set (they only lasted for 16
issues before going under) in pristine condition and it seems likely to
me that someone would find these useful. However I haven't seen
anything like this on eBay and don't know of any other places to sell
"vintage" journals.

Can anyone suggest where I might find a good home for them?

Ian.
