About the only thing I can come up with is re-downloading another instance
of it:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=04D26402-3199-48A3-AFA2-2DC0B40A73B6&displaylang=en

Are you using any kind of download manager? Did you download the 32-bit
version or the 64-bit version? Is your Vista 32-bit or 64-bit?

Dave

Thanks for the input Dave,

I've downloaded the 32bit version now three times thinking the executeable
was corrupt or something.
I'm running Vista Ultimate 32-bit and I'm not using any download managers.

All suggestions VERY MUCH appreciated,
Kurt

My guess is that it has nothing to do with VPC directly. I haven't seen a
previous post like this for Vista, but there have been similar ones in the
past on XP hosts. The problem was with the Windows installer program, not
the app it was trying to install.

You know what Bill... I think you're onto something here because just
today, I had a problem installing Windows Media Player Plugin for FireFox
browser. The same EXACT thing happened during it's installation (or attempt
at installing for that matter).

I've been looking on the web ever since I've read your message for "Vista
Installer repair" and can't find a thing. Any hints?

Thanks Bill!!
Kurt
