Since lunchtime yesterday I've been able to use EDGE on Vodafone at
home!
Since when have Vodafone been rolling out EDGE? First I've ever seen
it - even out and about in city centres. Although I guess recently
I've had 3G in those locations so wouldn't have known the network's
EDGE status.

What a difference in browsing speed though - I know its not 3G but its
pretty good for things like BBC mobile, Facebook mobile etc.

Hi JL,

You will notice that in certian areas you can now receive EDGE on
Vodafone. The purpose of this is to widen our network reach and allow
better coverage for those that usually receive a 2g signal.

Edge is slightly faster than 2g, yet not as speedy as 3g.

I trust this helps,
