When you say "Upgrade to anything better (Atheros, Broadcom...)" are you referring to upgrading software or the actual hardware in my laptop? Cheers, and tks again! -- NB "Pavel A." wrote: > "nicobas" <nicobas(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:7055B2C3-66D8-4446-8C28-B45C09156831(a)microsoft.com... > > Hi PA: > > Hope you get this a whole year later! > > Is there any way you know of of making the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG > > Network Connection driver version 9.0.4.17 WPA2 capable? > > Cheers > > -- > > NB > > > It was a lot of time ago when I've seen this driver last time. > IIRC, the microcode did not support it, and software crypto in the driver > was too slow. > Upgrade to anything better (Atheros, Broadcom...) or try to get Intel > support (now in India) - good luck! > > Regards, > -- pa > >

As I said before I have been using WPA2 security for 4+ years without any problem. Back then I must be using older driver version but I can't remember what it was. It could very well be version 9.x > 2. Try using the driver from support.dell.com.

My WZC Network Authentication options: Open, Shared, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK. Data encryption is either TKIP or AES. Download driver version 11 from support.dell.com |
