That i found next to a Carrel at the library.
Assuming that i found a Cable to connect it to my MacBook...
What else would i have to do to get it to work...???

And it didn't occur to you to take it to the library desk given that it
is likely someone else might have inadvertently forgotten it?

I would speculate that the top 2 plugs are for data (the "D" in the port
number being a hint)
.. The bottom port is likely a voice plug (the V being a hint).

You would simply need to plug an ethernet cable in it and see if you can
DHCP some IP address from them.


Ethernet uses RJ45. Home phones use RJ11 (narrower). But business
phones often use RJ45 as well, and newer IP phones also use RJ45 (since
they are really ethernet connections).
