What in the world is this?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | 781

No reference to any company, or application, just numbers. Google has
nothing. Can I safely delete it?

Unless there is a definitive association with malware I do NOT suggest deleting
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\781
