Being a non-alchohol-drinker (hmmm, must look up the etymology of "teetotaller") requires a tolerance to sugar (I try not to drink aspartame either, and oxidane on its own I usually find tasteless, so boring). -- regards hugh hugh at clarity point uk point co (by the sea) (using Hogwasher) You never can truly tell when you have run out of invisible ink.

I drink very little alcohol (not from conviction or medical necessity, just from habit and choice) and I try not to take much sugar simply to keep diabetes at bay (so far so good- if I lost weight it wouldn't hurt either). But aspartame seems absolutely fine to me. Clearly I can metabolise ketones okay; if you can't that's the main gotcha with aspartame. -- Peter |
