An HONEST FACTUAL place to get news? Surely you jest Potter! At a journalist dinner in D.C. the question was asked OF JOURNALISTS if they ever saw ANY story where they were personally involved where the journalists got ALL the facts right. None could think of any. I can't either. In the old days when I was working with lasers I often had to deal with the press. No matter WHAT the device was, the story would always turn it into a "Death Ray". It got so bad that I'd have them repeat the facts back to me after I told them. They clearly DID understand what I was saying. But when the story came out? You got it: Death Ray! Obviously they were all lying on purpose to make "a good story". The problem is that people are just too Stooopid and media therefore represents too much political power to allow it to be free. Hence today "professional journalist" means a person who has great talent at creating propaganda by creating lies with words. What I like about this story is that the media all spin their way out of the fact that this was an act of war or piracy on the high seas.Unarmed people shot in "self-defense" though the top of the head from helicopters. Where are we? At the Branch Davidian "compound" [media word...actually "church"] in Waco? I thought Jews were supposed to be the smartest people on the planet? How much smarter would it have been to hold the raid until territorial waters were reached instead of trying to cover this war crime on the high seas with "spin"?
