Hi, I'm using the Deluge client on Linux.
When I download a torrent, why does deluge download a LOT more data
than is actually in the torrent?
For example, the torrent size is 900M but Deluge downloads 1.3G.
I'm downloading another torrent right now which is 350M; there is 200M
downloaded and it only shows 30% complete.

I hope that is is not reporting the protocol overhead. Secondly, I
couldn't imagine that any protocol could be so bad that it would have
that much overhead anyway.

BT does have a lot of overhead, but that sounds more like your client is
getting bad data that has to be re-downloaded. There may be a peer trying
to poison the swarm by deliberately sending bad data, or something between
you and the swarm may be corrupting the data you get.
