No, I didn't ignore it. I gave you an alternate link to Amazon. I find it hard to believe that you cannot access the free ebook fragments at both Amazon and Google Books. It seems high time that you learn some rudimentary web browsing skills. I know you have some very nonstandard views of worthiness, e.g. your many prior off-topic posts here that consisted entirely of complaints about the syntax of posts - that they did not include enough whitespace. But this complaint really takes the cake. I cannot even begin to fathom how anyone in their right mind could justify deeming such important research tools to be "of no value". If you are sincerely interested in learning mathematics then why willfully deny yourself access to major online repositories of mathematical literature?

It may be used as text for a graduate course. The present edition is a substantially revised and expanded English version of the book "G'ometrie alg'brique r'elle" originally published in French, in 1987, as Volume 12 of ERGEBNISSE. Since the publication of the French version the theory has made advances in several directions. Many of these are included in this English version. Thus the English book may be regarded as a completely new treatment of the subject. Moreover, Lynx may not support all the necessary protocols required to access certain content (I recall that it couldn't download certain math papers archived at projecteuclid). That's what I've been telling you, the reference is of no use. Marc was helpful in simplifying the proof I constructed from the lead you gave. > Moreover, Lynx may not support all the necessary protocols required > to access certain content (I recall that it couldn't download certain > math papers archived at projecteuclid). You didn't say till now that you were unable to access it due to your explicit choice to use only a crippled text-only browser. Omitting an important piece of info like that is quite disingenuous. The next time you waste my time like that you will be killfiled. >> Moreover, Lynx may not support all the necessary protocols required >> to access certain content (I recall that it couldn't download certain >> math papers archived at projecteuclid). What good is "stable and secure" if it denies you access to most pages? As is often the case, your logic is mind boggling.
