no, his question is "Why should I do maths research?"

one thing JSH does all the time, without meaning to, is psychological
projection
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection

Simply replace "they" and "them" with JSH or I, etc. in a JSH post.

What seems to be a long attack on the maths community in many of his posts,
are really JSH expressing self- doubt about his abilities

That actually IS a good question, especially at this point.

Why bother?

No, I find it disappointing that the mathematical community hasn't to
date lived up to its billing and as far as I can tell doesn't care
much for mathematics at all, which is kind of odd.

People might wonder how that is possible.

Well the simplest answer is, they get things to play at being
mathematicians, like a math professor at Harvard University is a
professor at Harvard University. That in and of itself gives a good
deal of prestige, so why should he actually do correct maths if he can
get more by being wrong?

As the correct math is both simpler and harder.

And do people really care if, say, what they learn about twin primes
is bollocks?

Why would they?

Why do math research?

Why care if you're right or not?

It's a very enjoyable pastime. Good clean fun.

So, Why should JSH do maths research ?

We dont care for YOUR math, so sloppy, sucn an amature, not even good
algebra.
Have you got that message yet? JSH = Sloppy Math

>People might wonder how that is possible.

not passing algebra is one cause. Being a troll is another.

who is "they" ?

what an intelligent statement.
