I've been using office 2007 almost since it's launch. I have updated and
backed up (.pst) files, made a few amendments and now when I click to enter
the calender, office crashes and has to be shut down. I have tried to repair
the software through install/remove/repair in the control panel but to no
avail. Does anyone have any idea apert from a re-install???

I'd try restarting outlook with the /cleanviews switch. This will delete any
custom views you might have so I would make a backup of the pst. This way if
it doesn't fix it, you can use the backup copy with the views intact.

If it doesn't help, try a new profile.
