From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 12 Aug 2006 02:08 I'm sorry, but you appear to have stumbled in to the wrong newsgroup. This is the 64bit newsgroup, where we are focused on issues specific to the various 64-bit Windows versions. From your post, I suspect you probably wanted an XP specific newsgroup, probably microsoft.public.windowsxp.general. There can be lots of reasons why a particular piece of software doesn't install, but you should try running in compatibility mode as a first step. And contact your software vendor for any patches or updates they may have for the package. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 alliebaby wrote: > I have looked thru all of windows xp newsgroups and not one person has > posted my problem>>>that scares me...ok here it is ... > > when trying to install new software like embroidery programs --Janome > digitizer 10000 and there was 3 other programs that i could not install > because of the following > > APPLICATION: ISSET_SE (this is in the blue at the top of the window) > > THE WIN 16 SUBSYSTEM HAS INSUFFICENT RESOURCES TO CONTINUE RUNNING. > CLICK ON OK, CLOSE YOUR APPLICATIONS, AND RESTART YOUR MACHINE. > > well i have dont that and they still will not install, I have even gone as > far as shutting everything down except for what is need to run win xp pro. > and i still get the same message. and yet i can install other software > such as melco design shop 2005 which is older then the janome > digitizer...... > > can someone please advise me in what to do to correct this .... > > Thank you
From: Robert on 13 Aug 2006 05:05 Are you running Windows XP Pro x64? If not, then sorry, you've stumbled into the wrong newsgroup! alliebaby wrote: > I have looked thru all of windows xp newsgroups and not one person has posted > my problem>>>that scares me...ok here it is ... > > when trying to install new software like embroidery programs --Janome > digitizer 10000 and there was 3 other programs that i could not install > because of the following > > APPLICATION: ISSET_SE (this is in the blue at the top of the window) > > THE WIN 16 SUBSYSTEM HAS INSUFFICENT RESOURCES TO CONTINUE RUNNING.
