From: ringereowyn on 13 Mar 2010 19:36 I haven't used my old computer for a long time and now I can't access it because a login password is required. I don't recall setting up a password on that computer. I've gone through all of my passwords in memory. Control/Alt/Delete does not give me the task menu. It does nothing. I tried using the safe mode. No help. I tried setting passwords in the startup mode using F1. That was no help. There is no internet hookup on this computer but it is capable.
From: LD55ZRA on 13 Mar 2010 20:00 Have you tried just pressing ENTER key for password? It could be that there is a space in the password field and so you are having these problems. Pressing ENTER key or <SPACE> bar sometimes works. If this doesn't work then I suggest post to: <news://microsoft.public.windowsxp.general> hth "ringereowyn" <ringereowyn(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:53791949-D4A7-4921-92E5-747866D8DD42(a)microsoft.com... >I haven't used my old computer for a long time and now I can't access it > because a login password is required.
