Someone suggested Home Server is very good for backup and sharing with up to
10 clients. Is it possible to add home server on SBS environment and if yes
what is the best scenario to use home server with SBS03/08.

Yes, it is possible to sit WHS 'alongside' an SBS network I do so myself for
the LoungeAN.

Several of my workstations have the WHS client installed and use WHS for
backup. The backup function is the only function I use because I prefer
documents to be stored under AD security and you cannot join WHS to the SBS
AD (or any AD for that matter). WHS will happily act as 'backup server' for
your 10 most important workstations. WHS sits in a workgroup off to the side
and if one wished one could use storage space on the WHS but such space
would be confined to use by users defined on the WHS.

Then we start to push the envelope by moving out of MS 'supported'
scenarios. I'm actually backing up both the SBS03 and my Server03 Terminal
Server to WHS. Though 'not supported' I have performed a full backup and
restore of both.

It's definitely possible to use WHS in an SBS environment - lots of us do
it. In an SBS environment, I view the WHS box as primarily a backup device
for key workstations. And it really is EXCELLENT at that role. Simply bring
up the WHS box on your SBS network. You can't domain join it, it is always a
workstation machine. You then join up to 10 workstations to the WHS box.
They don't un-join from the SBS network, but by "joining" the WHS, they add
a connector application that automatically backs the workstations up
nightly.
