XP Internet Security Virus HELP Running XP, SP 2 This program started and I know it's a virus. I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode and it removed 3 infected files from the registry: antivirus disable notify, firewall disable notify and updates disable notify. I reboot and the program was back. Antivirus Software Is Destroying My Computer I'm not sure what exactly is causing this, but Windows Defender keeps popping up messages like this: "Application cannot be executed. Viruses and Business Centers I believe I heard a segment of NPR last week where they talked about som Business Centers at hotel and motels offering practically no virus protection.
