HD Probs?? My mighty backup PC, Asus MB 2.66 Pent 4 running XP Pro has died. All of a sudden, as in overnight, it will not boot from a HD. Will boot from floppy and from CD just fine. RAM memory check? Is there an easy, straight forward way to check the RAM memory sticks in my computer? This is an older computer, running Windows XP Pro with SP3 installed. S.M.A.R.T. error My computer was running real slow, so I rebooted it. The reboot hung with a message: A S.M.A.R.T. error has been detected. Any free partition resizers? There are many partition softwares that can resize partition size, today. I found a new free partition manager â Partition Assistant, it can manage partition, work like a charm. Corrupt free space In "My computer" the system disk shows that there is 20GB free space, when the actual free space is more than 270 GB. Is there anything I can do to correct this? I have defragmented and run a full chkdsk check, which didn´t help. ... 31 May 2010 02:15
