Proprietary. Windows XP or newer. Haven't tried it but it sounds like
something that was posted here about Google's attempt for a universal
printer driver. Apparently, the driver will sniff out any networked
printer which support postscript and then make it usable.

Anyway, for those on the move a lot, this might help:

It does a hell of a lot more (damage) than that.

Isn't it already available and called CUPS?

The Xerox offering is Windows-only. And CUPS?
