From: Jeffrey Needle on 23 May 2010 23:27 I don't suppose any of you Linux folks can help me with a problem. I've downloaded andLinux, yet another distro that runs inside of Windows. On my notebook, Wubi just fails -- it seems grub can't access the boot sector, or some other thing. I would love to have a Wubi on my notebook, but it doesn't seem possible. andLinux functions very well. I've been able to transfer all my address books and settings from my Win install of Seamonkey. But the mails don't transfer. Seamonkey has no way of exporting mail folders, so you have to depend on the receiving client to do the work. I can't find a way to do this. Also, I'm told that I need to update my Linux Seamonkey distro. I've downloaded the GTK2 file, but have no idea what to do next. There are so many smart people here. I'll ask on the Linux newsgroup after a few days, if I don't get any good ideas here. Thanks.

Tell me again why you insist on running these faux/demo Linux implementations within Windows instead of partitioning your drive and doing it right? -- Mark Warner ....lose .inhibitions when replying

Latest news on the Linux front: I downloaded the iso image for Netbook Ubuntu and was successful in installing it on my netbook inside Windows. Everything works fine, but I can't connect to the internet. Mark, you've been so patient with me. I'm reluctant to ask for more help. But can you suggest some way I can diagnose the problem of lack of connectivity to the internet? I'm working in online mode, but a graphic at the top of the Linux screen, indicating connectivity, shows no connectivity. Thanks.
