First in the US it is not a car, it is a motorcycle.

Second, there was a big article in the local paper last week about a local
company busted big time for importing Chinese motorcycles that don't meet
US standards.

Caveat emptor.

First, it is advertised as a "car". It is an enclosed car or
motorcycle. The 3-wheeled Isetta years ago was sold as a "car" Maybe
it had two small wheels next to eachother in the back. "You say
"TOMATO" I say "TOMAHTO"- let's call this pointles labeling off !!

What is it about this motorcycle/car that doesn't meet U>S> standards?

Also- the vehicle is being sold in the US by Farspeed.com in Eugene,
Oregon; so I guess it passes US standards.
