hi..

got a strange one with a new sbs 2008 install.
i can generate and email report manually. but the scheduled event fails.

Do you by any chance have any security software installed which might be
blocking potential malware from sending email? If so, check the log and
add the relevant exception.

I might just mention the name 'McAfee' in passing.

i'll have a look at that..

the server has trend maximum stress, sorry worry-free 6 so will investigate
further

nothing in trend that looks like it is causing an issue, any other ideas?

Not really. Delete and recreate, check the email address carefully, try
a different one, see if you can find any reference in the Event logs or
Exchange, all the usual suspects.

I have an SBS2003 which hasn't sent emailed reports for five years, and
every now and then I get bored and try to fix it. No luck so far. I have
caught McAfee Access Controls blocking reports (and indeed Exchange) on
SBS2008.
