Thanks everybody, it works.

In .icewm/winoptions a line is added:

xdaliclock.XDaliClock.forcedClose: 1

The syntax is :

classname.appname.option: argument

'classname' and 'appname' can be obtained using xprop utility.

I have tried plain old xclock, and it closes gracefully, as well as
any other application I have ever tried.
