From: Mark Hobley on 25 Apr 2010 14:33 When I attempt to save an image from a website using the epiphany browser, I get no save dialogue. I right click the image, then select "Save Image As" from the context menu. I would expect this to bring up some sort of dialogue that prompts for the filename and save location, but nothing happens. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this due to a bug in epiphany, or is there a configuration problem? Mark. -- Mark Hobley Linux User: #370818 http://markhobley.yi.org/

I find this really annoying as well. What happens for me is that when I click on the "Save image as ..." menu and instead of presenting an interface for saving the file, it downloads the image and then runs eog to display the image. For downloading and saving images (wallpapers in fact) I just use Firefox to get around this. If anybody can suggest how to save images directly from epiphany v2.28 I would be grateful. At least epiphany does not crash *as much* as it used to.

But it has now been fixed (in 2.30.2). Regards, Mark. -- Mark Hobley Linux User: #370818 http://markhobley.yi.org/ |
