You may not use it but judging by the presence of the configuration file it is enabled and configured, and might be the cause of the problem with eth0_rename. By taking into account all of them I mean include all the NICs in 59-my.net.rules, ifdown all of them, remove all NICs' entries from hwconf and all ifcfg-eth? files. Then after a reboot you should be okay... -- mrg
