new user. My calendar view shows every hour from midnight and the hours
midnight to 6 am take up too much room. How do I get rid of them.

How many hours you see depends on the window size and time scale. If there
is enough room, all hours show. If there is not enough room, outlook
displays the start of workday (usually 8am, but can be changed in tools,
options, calendar options) as many hours after that as possible. If there is
still room, it shows the early morning hours.
