Just curious, seems like my systems have more running than I would've
expected. My main work PC has 97 at the moment, and the htpc has 73.

Neither is slow or laggy, but I'm gonna try and trim down 97 to
something more reasonable.

You didn't say what OSs you're running (Vista has more services than
XP). My Vista HP 32-bit desktop has 66 running (after I trimmed
unnecessary ones).

Do some research before removing or blocking certain processes. Many
are superfluous, but some will create problems in unexpected ways if
you shut them down. One good site for info on this is http://www.pcprocesses.org/
